Before making her film debut at Rio de Oro, she began her career as Mexican TV actress. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. [6] The film was chosen as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Award, but it did not make the final cut.
